The 981 seat Hawke's Bay Opera House is the home of Performing Arts in the Hawke's Bay.

Over its 96 years of operation, Hawke's Bay Opera House has hosted a myriad of performance genres, from ballet to contemporary dance, operas to musical theatre, vaudeville to stand-up comedy, Shakespearean drama to pantomime and more.

Boasting newly renovated venue spaces from Ballrooms, business centres, cutting edge architecturally designed display and event areas to one of the top three lyric theatres in the southern hemisphere, the Hawke's Bay Opera House complex is ready to take its place as one of the top entertainment and convention centres in the country.

With state-of-the-art lighting, sound, audio visual equipment and expert technical and support staff based on-site, technical packages of any size or description can be designed and installed to suit your exact requirements.

BACKSTAGE

Backstage dressing rooms

Backstage at the Hawke's Bay Opera House is an incredible space. Recently upgraded, it features several showers, toilets, dressing rooms, a laundry/wardrobe. Located on the first floor is the traditional Green Room fitted with kitchenette. If required it can be spilt into two large dressing rooms or left as one large dressing room for 20 people.

There are nine dressing rooms in total. A breakdown of each dressing room area can be seen below:

Three unisex toilets (1 with disabled access)
